As I blogged earlier, these days, I had been spending more time in kitchen. Since my hubby manages to credit me for all my recipes ( even at times I know he is lying just to make me feel better), it gives me a lot of confidence to try something new. To add to it, I try to cook something which he loves.
I don’t love sweets.. I am someone who prefers spicy food to sweets. On the contrary my hubby loves sweets. Ironically, everytime I try to cook some sweet/dessert recipe for him, it just goes wrong. Even a simplest dish.. ( Forget about the complex ones, I know it isnt easy for an amateur like me). It is like I need to try any dessert/sweet recipe twice inorder to get it right. This is not the case when I try other recipes.. I get them close to perfect (atleast edible
) at the first try.
I always heard people tell me” Do what you love… and love what you do..” , when I kind of get upset/frustrated with things in my life. I was just wondering if this has something to do with the fact that I don’t love what I am cooking and hence I am unable to get them right… Silly ahh….. Is it really true? I hope not…….
May be some expert cooks can guide me.

Aishu,

I agree its kinda difficult to meet the other person’s expectations, espclly when ur taste/cuisine differs..I learnt North Indian food only after marriage..initially,my rotis used to be supplement for papads:-)..but i guess i have come a long way in the 2 yrs and amit likes my cooking now..i guess it just goes to prove “practise makes a man perfect”..in this case, its a woman tho’..:-)
Good luck with your cooking endeavors..its meant more for Arun than you..;-)
